Héma-Québec blood drive

Wednesday, November 8, 2017

10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Pavilion A Auditorium

The Jewish General Auxiliary is organizing a blood donor clinic for Héma-Québec on November 8. The clinic is open to everyone - CIUSSS West-Central Montreal staff and the public. Héma-Québec’s mission is to efficiently meet the needs of the Quebec population for quality blood and other biological products of human origin and they rely on the generosity of donors like you.

Why should you give blood?

  • Every 80 seconds, someone in Quebec needs blood.
  • Every year, Quebec hospitals use nearly 250,000 units of blood.
  • Only 3% of Quebecers who are eligible to give blood make a donation to the collective blood supply managed by Héma-Québec.
  • A minimum of 1,000 donations are required every day to meet Quebecers’ needs.
  • The current blood supply must better represent Quebec’s cultural diversity.

Héma-Québec relies on the generosity of donors to ensure that the blood needs of all Quebecers will be met.

Giving blood is a safe and simple act that saves lives!

We hope to see you on November 8.
