Thaddeus Rezanowicz

I am pleased to welcome Thaddeus Rezanowicz as Director of the Mental Health and Addiction Program for the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal.

In this new role, Mr. Rezanowicz will be responsible for the mental health, addiction and psychiatry teams across our CIUSSS.

Mr. Rezanowicz has a total of 25 years of management experience, having worked in a number of Quebec healthcare institutions. In 1990, he created his first geographical interdisciplinary team in mental health, partnering with general practitioners in the area and the Chief of Psychiatry at Anna Laberge Hospital. From 2005 until 2010, he engaged institutional and community partners in a mental health action plan, which was implemented in close collaboration with the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal.

Mr. Rezanowicz has a Master’s Degree in Health Administration.

“I am really looking forward to being part of this historical moment in our healthcare system, and playing a role in an area that is close to my heart,” says Mr. Rezanowicz. “The stigma of mental illness is part of our society’s reality. However, we have the ability to take action, to offer relief and to give hope by engaging everyone involved and creating a real continuum of integrated mental health and addiction services for the population.”

Together with Mr. Rezanowicz, the rest of the management team, and in partnership with all of the institutions in our network, I am eager to embark on this new era in health care. Providing mental health and addiction services is vital at every point of care across the CIUSSS. To meet the needs of our network’s patient population, I am comforted knowing that Mr. Rezanowicz will be in a position to oversee operations and make sure these services become better aligned, coordinated and strengthened along the patient’s trajectory through our institutions.
