Director of Human Resources, Communications, Legal Affairs and Global Security
Beverly Kravitz

I am pleased to welcome Ms. Beverly Kravitz as Director of Human Resources, Communications, Legal Affairs and Global Security for the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal (CIUSSS West-Central Montreal). Ms. Kravitz will be an integral part of the management team for Montreal’s new west-central healthcare region when we assume our new positions on April 1.

Ms. Kravitz began her legal career in 1988, after having completed her civil and common law studies at McGill University. She joined the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) Foundation in 2002, after gaining about 15 years of legal experience in the private sector. She was Director of Planned Giving, Weekend to End Breast Cancer, Strategic Planning and General Counsel with the JGH Foundation until 2007, at which time she was appointed as the hospital’s Director of Human Resources, and soon after took on the additional position as Director of Legal Affairs. She also provided support for Governance; oversight on regulatory requirement regarding contractual matters; risk management and Access to Information requests. She takes great pride in having led the JGH to be recognized as one of Montreal’s Top Employers for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

During her time at the JGH, Ms. Kravitz has shown strong leadership skills, an effective management style and a solid approach to conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation. She recognizes and values the contributions of staff. She places great importance on providing a safe work environment that fosters teamwork and mutual support among colleagues.

Altogether, her experience in human resources, strategic planning, labour relations, performance management, legal counsel, risk management and corporate governance will contribute to a seamless transition into her new position.

I echo the sentiments of Ms. Kravitz in that we are living through a period of great change in our healthcare system, and we recognize that this transformation is affording us an extraordinary opportunity to re-imagine the way all staff contribute to the provision of care and medical services for our patients.

Together with Ms. Kravitz, the rest of the management team, and in partnership with all of the institutions in our network, I am eager to embark on this new era in health care. Our unity and cooperation are the keys to improving the patient experience, enhancing the continuum of care, and establishing greater efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services.

I am pleased to welcome Marie-France Bodet as Associate Director of Human Resources (HR) for the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal (CIUSSS West-Central Montreal).

In this position, Ms. Bodet will be responsible for implementing the range of integrated HR services that are focused on development, health and success for the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. The approach will be centred around the department’s clients and based on HR best practices. To reach their goals, Ms. Bodet will oversee the team working on organizational development and training, health services, as well as HR consulting services, which includes recruitment and staffing.
