What distinguishes a FMG?

FMGs, like the CLSCs, are an integral part of the Health and Social Services system and allow the population to have access to services they need.

Family Medicine Groups (FMG)

CLSC

Medical Services:
For patients enrolled with one of the FMG physicians.

General Services: 

  • Nursing care
  • Psychosocial services
  • Monitoring of specific chronic diseases

The services are dedicated to patients registered with one of the FMG physicians.

General Services: 

  • Nursing care
  • Psychosocial services
  • Monitoring of specific chronic diseases

For clients without a family doctor and with a doctor outside FMG.

Specific services: 

  • Child and family
  • Support for autonomy of the elderly (SAPA)
  • Di-TED
  • Youth in difficulty
  • Mental Health

For the whole population
